The new trends and new materials for “green” and digital “smart” constructions were discussed by leading market executives at the 7th Infrastructure & Transport Conference – ITC 2024, which took place on 17 and 18 September at the Athens Concert Hall – International Conference Centre.
The “summit discussion” was attended by Nikolaos Ioannis Dimtsas Deputy CEO of Dimand, Konstantinos Bitros CEO of Inventio Edge, Dimitris Hanis Managing Director of Heracles, Yannis Paniaras Director of European Operations at TITAN Group, Chronis Akritidis Managing Director of ΑΝΑΠΛΑΣΗ ΔΗΜΟΣΙΩΝ ΧΩΡΩΝ Α.Ε., Vice President System Certification of TÜV HELLAS (TUV NORD) Vasiliki Kalambokidou, the Managing Director of Praksys / Sidenor Demosthenes Kalteziotis, and the Administrative Director of HELLENIC HALYVOURGIA Grigoris Kakanelis.
Mr. Kakanelis, after pointing out that the company’s products come from more than 99% of recyclable raw materials, stressed that the steel industry is the epitome of the circular economy as its products are 100% recyclable and can repeat their life cycle up to 10 times. Moreover, the by-products resulting from the steel industry are also 100% recycled through the recovery process with the reuse of useful materials.
Mr. Kakanelis stressed that HELLENIC HALYVOURGIA is part of a wider ecosystem and supports through partnerships with universities, schools and research centers, actions for research and innovation, contributing substantially to sustainable development. Regarding investments, the Administrative Director of HELLENIC HALYVOURGIA said that the company invests in projects related to the saving of resources and energy as well as the improvement of new technologies in this direction.
