Following the Greek institutional framework and European standards, we produce steel products using only recycled scrap as raw material.
The finished products of our company are 99% recycled and recyclable.
The recycling of hundreds of thousands of tons of scrap in our plants annually, actively prevents its controlled or uncontrolled disposal, which in turn harms the environment in all aspects (pollution, hygiene, safety, aesthetics), while at the same time saves valuable natural resources (iron ore).At Hellenic Halyvourgia we implement a strict and effective system of monitoring all critical environmental parameters, we have advanced control systems in full and continuous operation, and we constantly introduce the most efficient production processes (Best Available Practices) in our manufacturing operations – in several cases earlier than similar Greek industries.
