18.06.2023 – HELLENIC HALYVOURGIA SUPPORTS THE OLYMPIC MEDALIST “MANOLO” AT THE 2nd “FLY OLYMPIA Street Pole Vault”
The second international meeting in pole vault of Emmanοuil Karalis, “FLY OLYMPIA Street Pole Vault”, was successfully completed on Sunday 18 June in Ancient Olympia, the Greek Champion and 4 Olympic Athlete in Tokyo has achieved top performance for this year with 5.76m.
The Greek champion welcomed top pole vault athletes from all over the world and together they had an excellent race.
The Frenchman, Thibault Colet, exceeding the 5.81m, reached the highest step of the podium – equaling this year’s record – with Emmanouil Karalis in second place with his new record of 5.76m and the American Clayton Fritz in the third place with 5.71m.
The crowd showed “Manolo” once again their love and support with their big round of applause, while Hellenic Halyvourgia was at his side again this year. The sports meeting organized for the first time last year by Emmanouil Karalis moved up to the highest category possible (WA Continental tour Silver) as it consists of only one event and all the signs are the third “FLY OLYMPIA Street Pole Vault” in 2024, due to the Olympic Games in Paris, will be of particular interest.
