Concrete reinforcing steel ΕΧΘ in coils 4R fullymeets the requirements of the market by exceeding the specifications of European and International standards, as well as the new requirements for high ductility steel for earthquake resistant structures.
The innovative 4R product bears 4 longitudinal ribs parallel to the steel axis, which provide it with additional important advantages such as geometric symmetry, better straightening and bending during the manufacture of fasteners (hoops).
It has thread ribs with high affinity to concrete and is subjected to hot rolling followed by controlled heat treatment to obtain the required technical characteristics (marking, geometry, mechanical properties, etc.), with high shear strength, excellent folding ability, very good fatigue behavior and optimal physical and chemical characteristics. Alternatively, it is possible to produce hot-rolled steel without any further heat or thermomechanical treatment (X-H.T. or air-cooled steels).
Concrete reinforcing steel ΕΧΘ in coils 4R is produced in cross sections Ø8 to Ø16 weighing 1,55tn.
It is also available in re-spooled coils in cross-sections Ø8 to Ø12, weighing up to 1,8tn, covering both Greek and foreign regulations.
Indicatively:
Concrete reinforcing steel ΕΧΘ in coils 4R is subject to constant quality control and is characterized by high strength and ductility, as well as excellent measurement indicators, which give the final product excellent quality characteristics and make it suitable for use in all earthquake –resistant structures in earthquake-prone areas.
