Hellenic Halyvourgia has modern industrial facilities for the production of high quality steel products in Velestino and Volos.
Velestino Steel Mill
The Steel Mill of the Volos Industrial Unit operates in our facilities in Velestino, which cover an area of 265,000 sq. m. Through ongoing investments in mechanical and technological equipment and the complete modernization of the facilities, the annual production capacity of the plant in semi-finished products (billets) exceeds 1,000,000 tons. We strive for innovation in all areas of our activity. A prime example is the electric furnace at the steelworks, which was the first of its kind and still performs excellently compared to other modern competitive solutions, achieving maximum energy efficiency.
Volos Rolling Mill
Our facilities in Volos, covering a total area of 145,000 square meters, include a long products rolling mill, a wire mesh production plant and covered steel and wire mesh warehouses. Since 1963, the Volos plant has steadily increased its production capacity to over 700,000 tons of finished products.
Volos Mesh Plant
The Volos plant operates wire mesh and cage production units. In 2022, the special mesh and cage production unit was expanded with the installation of a welding machine, cold rolling mills and straightening machines. The annual production capacity exceeds 100,000 tones.
